Its all part of their game. Think about it, there are more and more ridiculously cute animals popping up all over the globe. Everywhere they're rendering people useless in their wake. Look at this website documenting the widespread disease. Sure its just a little bunny in a shoe. Or a squirel sleeping amist a cluster of puppies. But think people! If you were going to do something, like walk out your door, or watch TV, or call the authorities, you wouldn't. You would stop and stare and want to cuddle.
What's worse is that they're not only multiplying at a staggering pace, but they're spreading to larger forms. Look at this girl! First cute gerbils, then dogs, now humans. What will it take to make you all understand.
Fine. You gawk and stare. I'm going to protect myself.
